Brief

I first read about the Helmet Sunblocker in Motor Cyclist Magazine's "Gear box" section, which showcases new gear and gadgets for bikers. I was very eager to check out this unique product as I've been fighting the morning and afternoon sun on my commute everyday for the past few years.

Details

I've been using this little gadget for a few years now and I must say that I am very please with the results I've received from the Helmet Sunblocker. Especially during the early morning and late afternoon hours when the sun is sitting there at the top of my visor. During the day, I usually ride with a tinted visor and sunglasses but I would still find myself getting blinded by the sun's bright glare. Now, I still use my tinted visor (okay, I'm sensitive) but for the first time I can ride without my sunglasses as the Helmet Sunblocker protects my eyes better than any pair of sunglasses ever did. It truly is like riding in the shade! Even when the sun is high in the sky it seems the Helmet Sunblocker provides for better shading and seemingly cooler temperatures as the sun no longer feels as if it's beating down on my face.

I followed the instructions provided and had no trouble securing the blocker to the inside of my helmet. I installed the Sunblocker at night and it was ready to go in the morning. I have removed and re-applied the same piece on multiple helmets. The thing just keeps on going and I can't see why anyone would ride without one. If you are also plagued with the sun's glare, I highly suggest getting a Helmet Sunblocker as it really has made my motorcycling trips much more enjoyable.
