Brief

The result of my mighty quest to find a suitable glove led me to All-Season fully lined, leather gloves offered by Olympia. These are a very warm yet sleekly designed glove available in women's sizes. Priced around $60 they are a fair value but lack the armor that I feel a truly complete glove should include.

Overview

Gloves are one of the most important pieces of gear for a rider, yet one of the most difficult to nail down. My search for a suitable glove has been a long one and has not yet been totally fulfilled. The Olympia All-Season is a glove that I can, however, give a positive review.

My glove criterion: 1) Full leather glove 2) Fits a small hand properly in the palm and fingers 3) Provides some armor at least on the knuckles, 4) Ideally has some palm padding 5) MUST BE WARM

Details

The Olympia All-Season Gloves is available in both Men and Women's sizes, an important consideration when trying to glove small hands. The women's smalls fit like a glove!!! The wind-tex liner is extremely soft and provides excellent warmth. I had considered some of the heated gloves on the market but found they were huge and bulky. Perhaps these would be ok for a passenger or on a cruiser, but sport bike riders would definitely have trouble with them.

The full leather design of these Olympia's offers additional padding at the knuckles. The drawback to these gloves, and most women's gloves that I tried, was that there is no armor. It is an unfortunate thing that there are not more manufacturers designing safety gear for women, but it is today's reality. It seems that to get fit and comfort women are forced to sacrifice a key element of safety.

Otherwise, these gloves seem to fit the bill. The elastic around the wrist is comfortable, fitting high to prevent window intrusion. There is a Velcro closure at the cuff to give additional fitting. Seems are well sewn and fit is an A+.
