Brief Looking for some high quality anodized parts that won't fade? Look no further than Oberon Engineering for a long list of parts to suit almost any need. Pegs, Bar ends, Oil filler caps and even their new preload adjusters are available for most makes and models. Overview After years of sifting through other company's poor excuses for anodized parts, I finally found Oberon Engineering whose products more than catch the eye. Every item is made to very precise standards and finished with a quality anodizing process that does not fade in the sunlight. When I was looking to replace my pegs and I was disappointed with what Lockhart had to offer and from past experiences I knew that their anodizing wouldn't last through even one of our long hot summers. I picked up a set of pegs from Oberon directly and I have been nothing but happy with their product. Details Although they are located in the UK, I had no problem with ordering and received my product in less than a week. The folks at Oberon are very responsive to email and I found that all my questions were answered quickly and to my full satisfaction. When the pegs arrived, I had to personally attach most of the 30+ little screws to the pegs shaft. Oberon does provide all the necessary hardware to install the pegs including Alan head wrenches for the little screws as well as the larger screws that mount the pegs to the joint. In spite of these minor glitches I was able to assemble and install both the front a rear pegs in under a half hour. I was a little worried about the increased vibration when removing the stock rubberized pegs, but found that there was little change in the way the bike felt. Grip was improved as the small screws that line the pegs will keep any shoe or boot from slipping.. The pegs are also tapered on the lower side so ground clearance is no longer a problem. These tapered edges are a bit sharp and a little caution must be used when retracting the rear pegs so as not to offend the bare hands. Oberon also produces other great products with the same craftsmanship as their pegs. I was pleased to find the bar ends are a complete replacement for Honda's slotted internal bar mounting hardware unlike most other bar ends that use the rubber grommet to secure them to the bar , which is incompatible with most if not all Hondas. Their new preload adjusters are made of the same high quality aluminum anodizing and I plan on pick up the matching brake reservoir caps as soon as they are available. So if you're tired of replacing your anodized parts continuously because of fading, give Oberon a try and you'll never have to replace them again.
